About Sawtooth's Start

Most of my living has been made in woodworking. I was always inspired by the wonderful creations my Great Uncle Jack and Uncle Vernon would build. In my spare time I made many woodcraft projects as gifts for family and friends. I can’t even count how many times people told me to “hang a sign” and produce these pieces for my living! After some years wondering and a few strange events in the workforce, it sounded like a great adventure.
I started by approaching stores in South Dakota with my furniture. A few stores began carrying my items and requests for custom pieces started to roll in. The phone started ringing with more news that all my items were sold out at the stores continuously. It became difficult to have a 50 hour job and keep up with the demand from customers. My wife finally stepped in and told me to follow the dream and work from home full time.
We really got on a roll. As quickly as our new venture took off, we also received the news that my wife would be furloughed to Las Vegas, Nevada and eventually Idaho. Our move to Idaho gave me more inspiration. We vacationed near Stanley, Idaho and were awestruck by the sight of the Sawtooth Mountains. Their peaks seemed to never end. Like a boulder the new name fell on me. Sawtooth Creations was the perfect fit.
As time goes on, more stores are requesting our products and we are shipping items all over the country. We really want to thank all our family and friends for their help and words of encouragement. A special thanks to our sister Pamela for helping us into this new world of the internet. Knowing none of this could be possible without God’s hand we thank Him the most. We thank you also for visiting and hope you enjoy the Sawtooth Creations.
